Antywho, in the 50-11 years since I last posted so very much has happened. Relax, I’m not gonna detail it here. (And the two people who will read this breathed a sigh of relief. LOL)
Naw, I’m gonna just drop this video of Maxwell singing “Bad Habit”. That song seems to be on repeat in my mind since I first heard it. Might be cause that new CD travels with me everywhere I go. Love it. He’s grown as an artist and yet, remained the same Maxwell we’ve come to know and love. Sho’ hope it won’t be another 8 years before we’re able to satisfy our musical cravings with new music.
Thought I treat you (and myself) to this live rendition of “Bad Habit” and dish up a poem I wrote a while back by the same title.

you’re a bad habit
i smile
thinking to myself
that you aren’t really a bad habit
i just have a bad habit of thinking about you
i shyly invite them to keep their 12-step program
…unless it brings me 12 steps closer to you

Love me say Lalah Hathaway. Very talented artist. Soooo underrated. But Sistah-girl just keeps doing what she does - making great music.
I know I bought her latest CD, “Self-Portrait”. I know I did. (Didn’t I? I had to…right? *sigh) But I haven’t been able to put my hands on it and that frustrates the heck out of me…especially since I’ve been wanting to hear it for the last few days. Arrrgh! I hate when that happens. Oh well, I’ll just have to put something equally as mellow & soul-feeding in the CD player. ::::grumbling & mumbling to self, “Whateva THAT is::::
