Who Am I? Just a woman falling madly, deeply, truly in love with life. A poet/writer having a wild affair with words. A person whose mission is to live from a place of joy, embracing all that's beautifully human about myself, and moving deeper into the EVOLUTION & the REVOLUTION of me. Still curious? “Celebrate YOU” Friday

Attitude of Gratitude + The Journey - No BackTalk

smiley balloons

Yes, YOU.

You know the drill: Celebrate yourself today. Right now. Take a minute (hell, take 5) and celebrate those good things that came your way this week. The goals that you accomplished. The To-Do’s that you To-Done. LOL

Doesn’t matter if it was a big thing, a small thing or an in between thing. As long as it mattered to YOU.

Why? Because. This celebration is for YOU. This celebration is about YOU.

Now I know, somebody somewhere is moping and moaning, mumbling and mourning about how they can’t find anything to celebrate.

That’s okay. While I believe that everybody has SOMETHING in their lives worth celebrating on a DAILY basis, I know that some days, it’s harder than others to find it or see it for what it really is. And that’s ok.

You know why?

If that’s you? If that’s where YOU are at this very moment in time, then celebrate what DIDN’T happen!!

Celebrate not laying that person out, celebrate not getting frustrated with your children/spouse/significant other/coworker. Celebrate walking pass that pair of shoes that were calling your name. Celebrate the fact that, while you yearn for something more, you are blessed with what you have.

Celebrate the chance to CHOOSE SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR YOURSELF.

Celebrate whatever good thing has come your way this week.

Go head.

Party like a rock star.

Do YOUR dance Baby cause it is ALL ABOUT Y-O-U!!
(PS: drop me a note & tell me what ya celebrate so I can celebrate with/for you too!!)

Get the party started. Right where you are. Go for it!!

What I’m celebrating:
1. Direct deposit is in effect. Yes!
2. Reconnecting to a project that keeps me fired up!
3. Coworker’s recovery from emergency surgery & a parent’s joy restored upon learning their 14yr will recover fully from a stroke (OK, these are really about ME specifically BUT (1) it’s DEFINITELY celebration-worthy and (2) it shows that what God does for another, He can do for you or me)
4. Maintained my weight this week
5. Smooth oncall week. Not over until Monday AM but so far, so very very good. LOL
6. Great conversation. Love it.
7. Hang time with my friends/fam. In addition to the laughs and the love, I always learn something new. Always.

Gratefully,

Celebrate resisting that ‘road-rage’ flare-up. Celebrate not giving in to the pain you feel. Celebrate the fact that, while you didn’t lose any weight, you didn’t gain any either. Happy New Year!

Attitude of Gratitude + The Journey - No BackTalk

happy new year Pictures, Images and Photos

“This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life.” Unknown

Happy New Year to You!!

I love New Years. And not just because my birthday rolls right into New Year’s Day.

I love the possibilities that New Years brings. The chance to start over, to do something new and different…to BE different. No matter what happened in the year that we just laid to rest, we are gracefully granted with a chance to start anew.

Some of us tiptoe into the New Year, apprehensive about what will unfold, peeking behind the months on the calendar, holding our breath. Others of us rush into the New Year as if someone or something is chasing us, afraid to look behind us, ready to rush across the threshold, slam the door and lock it behind us. Me? I intended to strut into 2009, my power walk in full effect. But, before I grab 2009 by the hand, I invited 2008 in for a cup of my favorite tea (South African Honeybush Vanilla), and a chance to really look at “the way things were”…you know, review the 2008 page in my life’s scrapbook.

Before I kissed 2008 goodbye, I held it close to me, embracing every single thing it brought my way — the good, the bad, and the ugly. I looked at how the year started, how it ended and all the living that took place in the gooey middle. I looked at the goals I set for myself coming into 2008, how far I got in terms of accomplishing them, and mapping out what I want to create with the 365 days of Playdoh that is 2009.

I’m excited. I think I’m in love…with my life, with the infinite possibilities that await me…

There is nothing like a endless supply of INFINITE POSSIBILITIES.

And who wouldn’t be excited by THAT?

Here’s to a New Year that finds YOU blessed beyond measure!

Live SoulFULLY,
*~* MsJayy *~*
