Fresh haiku…straight out of the oven….

language barrier

understanding fades
though the writing’s on the wall
it’s not her language

high fashion

autumn dresses trees
in reds, golds, bits of yellow
dazzling the earth again

bitter pill

at 18, 3 kids
she’d rather swallow his lies
than to swallow a pill

autumn cries

Autumn sheds memories
built from heady summer trysts
shedding leaves like tears

internal blooms

quiet beauty lives
tied to the strength of her soul
it blooms when she smiles

foundation

day begins again
fresh prayers - her foundation
she…is…beautiful

penny for my thoughts?
You sell me short yet again

   Thanks Sweetie. I love Haiku but it’s a challenge for a wordy chick like me. You only get 17 syllables - not 17 words - syllables.

   Writing multiples at a time helps feed my fix for words. LOL
