What it do Folks? Thought I’d share a rough draft of a poetic collaboration between yours truly and a poet/friend. It’s just a portion of the entire poem cause it’s a l-o-n-g a** poem. For real. Anywho, enjoy! Oh, here’s a little Floetry to go with it. (I’d have to say this is my favorite Floetry song.)
mind strokes - pt. i
he walks through my imagination
kick starting dreams and
awakening dormant emotions
tickling my cerebral cortex
until smiles blossom in my spirit
floating with the butterflies in my tummy
i think to myself that he’s gone straight to my head
wondering if he was aiming for my heart…
I wrap a yellow chain around her waist
to accentuate her hips
I place a yellow daisy in her hair
to highlight her locks
I put yellow sandals on her feet
to protect her sensual soles
and I place my left hand over my heart
to show her my love
i stand before him
naked in ways that clothes
can’t begin to cover….
he…never…flinches….
hypnotized by his gaze
i move closer to him
smiling sunshine into the atmosphere
i rest my head on his shoulder
breathing in the sheer comfort of him, the strength
as my hands memorize the broad plane of his back
i press myself into the sanctuary of his arms
letting my heartbeat synchronize itself
to the rhythm of his own…
mesmerized by the fact that my heart
already knows this rhythm
undressed in her presence
her nakedness is my blanket
protecting me from cold’s breeze
my eyes so badly want to touch
her deep brown gaze tells me …yes please
so I ease my hands toward her
slowly finding the edges of her lines
embracing the roundness of her curves
my body is moving like a growing vine
I’m enjoying the fullness of her wetness
as our breathless sighs echo through the heavens
while angels fly to peek at what we do
for love is being both conceived and born
and it’s only a quarter after 2

That’s what’s up!!! Girl, this is FIRE! Man..I don’t even know what to say…I love it…I want to read the rest. LOL…My book came today…Love’s Reparations
LOL You know I am a ‘wordy’ chick & we just kept adding to it. When I finally put all the pieces together it was 4 pages long. It was just a little something we constructed on the fly but it was definitley fun to do it.
