Hmmm….The obvious is to just avoid the person right? But since you can’t I think you just do the opposite end of the spectrum. You keep sharing with them. You keep going back at them time and time again with more conviction. Forget the flash. Forget changing the words. Stop trying to sell them on the idea and just speak to them with an authority that says this is it and this is how it’s going to be. You can’t force people to support or validate you. Everyone doesn’t own a pair of “dream” glasses.

Chele - thanks. After dealing with it again recently, I just decided that, for the most part, this person would have to hear about things through someone else and when approached, I’d do what I normally do when folks don’t realize I wasn’t asking permission - I’ll keep it moving.

Fresh - can’t avoid them. Keep sharing huh? Funny enough, after a recent episode I got a call from the person saying I had shut them down. Ha! I happened to be sharing it with another person & they were around & did their thing. I ignored it & kept talking to the other person. Had to point out to them that they also go straight to the competition angle every time (um which in THIS case, they REALLY shouldn’t. Trust me. LOL).
